Officials and residents in a lower Westchester County city are holding an interfaith candlelight vigil Thursday night in memory of the lives lost in Saturday’s shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and the city council are inviting residents to the City Hall unity fountain for an evening of remembrance and prayer. Spano says the 5 p.m. gathering will be an opportunity for Yonkers residents to meet, mourn and remember as a community the eight men and three women who lost their lives in Pittsburgh. Neighborhood clergy and community leaders will also be on hand.
