There is a vigil Tuesday night in New York’s Hudson Valley to honor the 11 lives lost over the weekend at a shooting in a Pittsburgh synagogue.

The Jewish Federation of Dutchess County and the Dutchess County Interfaith Council are co-sponsoring an Interfaith Solidarity Vigil to honor the lives lost at Tree of Life Synagogue in what is believed to be the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history. Music, a memorial, interfaith prayer and speeches from community leaders, including clergy, Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison and County Sheriff Butch Anderson are slated for the 6 p.m. event at Temple Beth-El on Grand Avenue in the city. The event follows numerous such gatherings held since Saturday.
