The Orange County district attorney says a teen has been indicted in a case involving spray-painting of anti-Semitic graffiti at a Jewish cemetery in Warwick.
District Attorney David Hoovler says an Orange County grand jury handed up the indictment charging 18-year-old Eric Carbanaro, of Warwick, with two counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence, and fifth-degree conspiracy as a hate crime, all felonies. Hoovler says the charges stem from an investigation into the spray-painting of swastikas and other anti-Semitic symbols at the Beth Shalom Cemetery in the Town of Warwick in October last year. The indictment also alleges the teen acted in concert with others to destroy evidence by deleting images and other cemetery desecration information on the cell phones of two other co-conspirators.
