There is a soft launch this weekend of a webzine that focuses on New York’s 19th congressional district. The focus is on human-interest stories and interviews that meld the personal, political, and cultural. WAMC’s Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne spoke with Ulster County resident Shelley Eshkar, who started NY19Speakswith his wife, Elizabeth Simon.
NY19Speaks will publish its webzine in three modes: blog posts, features and visual features. Eshkar says he’ll work with potential contributors if they would like help shaping their pieces.
