High winds were responsible for fallen trees and power outages across the Hudson Valley Monday. And a Metro-North rail car was impacted after striking a tree in Westchester County.

Railroad spokesman Aaron Donovan says the Manhattan-bound train hit the tree around noon north of the Hawthorne station. He says the first axle of the train went off the tracks as a result. No injuries were reported but service was hampered for hours on the railroad's Harlem line. There were about 100 passengers on the train.
