Four renewable energy projects in New York have been awarded funding, and one is in the Hudson Valley.

Governor Andrew Cuomo Wednesday announced $206 million in awards to four large-scale clean energy projects that will bring 164 megawatts of clean energy to the state’s electric grid, enough energy to supply more than 60,000 average-sized homes per year. The selected projects include one in Dutchess County -- the Village of Wappingers Falls Hydroelectric Project, to produce 100 kilowatts. The three other projects are a large new hydroelectric project in the Mohawk Valley and two large wind farms, one in western New York and the other in the North Country, Jericho Rise Wind Farm in Franklin County.
