In Ulster County Saturday afternoon, there will be a free screening of a documentary about the power grid and privacy.

The 4:30 screening is of Josh del Sol’s documentary Take Back Your Power, which is described as a film about utility and government programs that are labelled smart and green but infringe upon privacy. Michele Hertz of Accord in Ulster County is one of the executive producers. She and Terry Bernardo, owner of Skate Time 209 in Accord and where the film is being shown, say their health has been negatively impacted by digital utility meters, known as smart meters. They want to see a "New York State Utility Consumer Health, Safety and Privacy Act" come to fruition. Hertz and Bernardo, a former county legislator, are both on the advisory committee of Stop Smart Meters NY. Smart meter proponents says the meters are not a risk to human health and do not invade privacy.
