The Adirondack Theatre Festival is such a special theatre company offering new, interesting, fun and world premiere works of theatre. Their season this summer includes everything from Judy Garland, to Avenue Q, to – of course – Georgia O’Keeffe.

Mark Fleischer is the Producing Artistic Director of ATF and has been since 2007. He joins us to tell us about their upcoming productions, including their opening production: Heartbreaker: Two Months with Judy Garland.

In 1968, when he was 26, songwriter John Meyer met Judy Garland. The next two months were an emotional roller-coaster, but his life was changed forever. Inspired by his acclaimed memoir, Meyer brings to the stage the true story of his romance with a star whose flame was dying and how he attempts to rescue her from her self-destructive demons. John Meyer and the show’s director, Michael Bush, and star, Christine Andreas join us along with Mark Fleischer.
