Dr. Alan Chartock discusses reports that Russian voters have largely approved a number of amendments to the country's constitution, including one that keeps President Vladimir Putin in power until 2036. 

Dr. Chartock also examines President Trump's claim that he is "all for masks" during the coronavirus pandemic, and comments on reports that a group of ex-Bush officials are backing former Vice President Joe Biden over Trump in November's election.

The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
