WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock discusses reports that COVID-19 has killed nearly 100,000 people in the U.S., and considers whether the public's response has been appropriate for a loss of that magnitude.

Dr. Chartock also comments on the outbreak's impact on the presidential election, and wonders whether the country could see a second wave of the virus.
