WASHINGTON – When Congressman-elect Sean Patrick Maloney (D- Cold Spring) assumes office in one week, he will be assigned to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

Maloney, who worked in the Clinton White House, noted that transportation infrastructure is “critically important to this district and our nation.” Good transportation and infrastructure policy can have “a powerful impact on the economy, job creation, and public safety and well-being.”

Maloney defeated one-term Republican Congresswoman Nan Hayworth in the November election.
