Report: Automation A Threat To New York Jobs

The automation of American jobs poses a serious threat.

That’s according to a new report by the Center for an Urban Future, which says in New York State alone, there are 1.2 million jobs that are highly automatable – meaning 80 percent of the work can be done by machines.

But it’s not too late for American workers.

WAMC's Lucas Willard spoke with the Center for an Urban Future managing editor Eli Dvorkin about what can be done and which jobs are most vulnerable.
