Gloversville City Council Approves Budget

Residents of Gloversville will not see their taxes go up next year.

On Tuesday night the Gloversville city council approved a fiscal year 2018 budget with a 0 percent tax increase.

The Leader-Herald reports a proposed spending plan with a 2 percent tax cut was revised after recent meetings with city departments.

The $17.75 million spending plan would use $1.18 million from the fund balance to make the budget whole.

Gloversville, a city of about 15,000 residents, is located in Fulton County.
