Two Planes Collide Near Buffalo

The Federal Aviation Administration says two small planes collided in the air then crashed in western New York south of Buffalo.

The FAA says it happened around 9:30 a.m. Sunday in North Collins, New York. One of the planes was a Cessna 120; the make of the other was aircraft unclear.

Emergency responders were on the scene. The extent of any injuries was not yet known.

The FAA says it will investigate, and the National Transportation Safety Board will determine the cause.
