Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday $10.5 million over five years will go to support six new Recovery Community and Outreach Centers.

In a statement, Governor Cuomo said addiction is devastating the lives of New Yorkers and that the new centers will “build a stronger and healthier New York for all.”

The centers will provide services and host activities for those suffering from addiction and their families.

Among the recipients of the $1.75 million awards are Independent Living Inc. in Newburgh and the Prevention Council in Saratoga Springs.
