With the travel ban lifted on New York City and its suburbs, Governor Andrew Cuomo is still urging caution on the roads.
"Roads are clear for the most part. There are still entrance ramps and exit ramps that are not clear. There are still situations where cars are getting stuck on highways, so let's not misinterpret the travel ban. If it's essential travel, necessary travel, that's one thing. But if you do not need to be on the roads, you shouldn't be on the roads," said Cuomo on Sunday morning.
The Port Authority has reopened bridges and the first inbound Metro North trains are scheduled to arrive in Manhattan at 12:30 p.m. The first outbound trains are set to depart at 3 p.m. Cuomo said the Long Island Rail Road remains closed until further notice.
