Meet The Candidate: Amsterdam Republican Mike Villa

Amsterdam native and Republican Mike Villa is challenging Democratic Mayor Ann Thane in November. Villa, a retired policeman and Montgomery County welfare fraud investigator, explained to WAMC's Southern Adirondack Bureau Chief Lucas Willard why he entered the race and what he'd like to accomplish if elected to city hall. Villa spoke from his backyard on the city's South Side.
