Schenectady Casino Gets Another New Look

Rush Street Gaming, the company that will operate Schenectady’s Rivers Casino, introduced new renderings for the project on Thursday.

Joe Scibetta, VP of Operations for Rush Street Gaming, said the company “put forth a tremendous amount of effort and energy to incorporate feedback” from the community.

The new design scraps the dark brick of the previous rendering released in early June that drew criticism from Schenectady residents. The new look features lighter pre-cast stone and is something more similar to renderings introduced more than a year ago when Rush Street Gaming was pursuing a casino license.

Casino representatives will meet with the Schenectady Planning Commission later this month and hope to begin construction this fall.
