New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul visited Saratoga Springs on Tuesday. The Democrat toured a handful of downtown businesses.

Hochul joined Saratoga Springs mayor Joanne Yepsen for a tour that included stops at InFormz, a high-tech marketing agency, and the brand new Pavilion boutique hotel. The mayor said Hochul was interested in seeing a community where residents live and work.

“She was excited about using Saratoga Springs as a model city of what other cities in upstate New York might think about doing,” said Yepsen.

Yepsen said she also communicated Saratoga Springs’ need for more affordable housing and the city’s approach to mixed-use development.
