Lawmakers representing Saratoga County have announced that funding from Video Lottery Terminals will be restored to the county and Saratoga Springs. The city is home to the Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

Republican State Senators Kathy Marchione and Hugh Farley said VLT Host Aid is being restored from initial cuts in the executive budget.

Under the deal Saratoga Springs would receive $2.3 million, a restoration of nearly $500,000. Saratoga County would receive more than $775,000 in host aid, a restoration of about $166,000.

Lawmakers and Governor Cuomo are working to negotiate a final state budget before the April 1st deadline.
