Saratoga Hospital has announced that it has received $4.6 million in gifts as part of a campaign to improve healthcare services.

On Thursday the hospital announced the gifts as part of its Campaign for Surgical and Intensive Care Services. The three-year campaign hopes to raise $8 million to help fund the completion of a new surgical center and intensive care unit.

In a statement, Saratoga Hospital president Angelo Calbone said the gifts show the donors’ appreciation for the “hospital’s singular role of maintaining the health of our region.”

Currently the hospital is undergoing a $33 million renovation to increase surgical capacity, and modernize existing facilities.
