New York Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy To Step Aside

New York Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy will not seek re-election after four years in the position, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reports. Duffy tells Governor Andrew Cuomo in a letter Wednesday that he is stepping aside before the November election. Duffy said that he has struggled to keep up with a rigorous travel schedule and that he is not being forced out. The former Rochester mayor and police chief says he would like to spend more time at home.
