Berkshire County – This past summer, Massachusetts lawmakers cut health care funding for 30 thousand legal immigrants in an effort to balance the state's budget. After some tussling on Beacon Hill the state restored about a third of the necessary funding, and created a new health care network for the special immigrant population.
