Burlington City Hall and the mayor’s personal car were vandalized last night after a man was issued a no trespass order.

A man who had been asked to leave for being disruptive broke Burlington, Vermont City Hall windows and damaged Mayor Miro Weinberger’s car Tuesday evening.

According to WCAX-TV, 34-year-old Patrick Cristaldi had been issued a no trespass order 20 minutes earlier. City Hall security tried to contact local mental health outreach before calling police after an undetermined altercation occurred. Cristaldi was arrested and jailed.

The mayor’s office issued a statement praising safety personnel and noting the need to expand public safety resources in the city.
