Champlain Water District Asks Customers To Conserve Water

Customers in the Champlain Water District are being asked to curtail nonessential uses of water through noon on Tuesday as the water treatment facility is undergoing a production capacity slowdown.
The district is asking residentsin Shelburne, South Burlington, Milton, Williston, Essex Junction, Essex Town, Colchester, the village of Jericho, and Winooski to conserve water so that it can “maintain adequate storage volumes and fire protection in its water storage tanks”.

Beginning Sunday customers were asked to curtail any outdoor water use and nonessential indoor use until noon on Tuesday.
