Vermont's Champlain College Announces New President

This past week Vermont's Champlain College announced the selection of its ninth president.
The college in Burlington has chosen Dr. Benjamin Ola  Akande to lead the institution.  Akande is currently the assistant vice chancellor for International Affairs–Africa, and the associate director of the Global Health Center at Washington University in St. Louis.

He says he is impressed with the school’s innovative programs and focus on students.   “I realized how committed this college was to their student success.”

Dr. Akande begins work on July 1.
