Vermont Governor Phil Scott is ordering travelers entering Vermont to self-quarantine.
On Sunday the CDC issued guidance advising residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to refrain from non-essential domestic travel for 14 days.  Vermont Governor Phil Scott, a Republican, said Monday he is ordering any traveler coming into the state to self-quarantine for 14 days.  “It’s not just our border states. This means those who have wintered across the country. To be clear, this 14-day quarantine does not apply for those just going to the grocery store or an essential job across the border.”

The governor’s order also clarifies that all lodging facilities except those exempted for supporting the COVID-19 response must close.
