A Middlebury College student organization has invited a guest speaker back three years after his appearance sparked a rowdy protest during which a professor was injured.
The college confirmed in a written statement Wednesday that the Middlebury College Republicans has invited Charles Murray to speak on March 31 to discuss his upcoming book, “Human Diversity: The Biology of Gender, Race, and Class.”

A 2017 speech by Murray was disrupted by demonstrations and a subsequent confrontation.

Murray is a social scientist who critics say uses pseudoscience to link intelligence and race.
