Pittsfield School Bus Involved In Collision

The Pittsfield Police Department says a city school bus was involved in a collision Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a car driven by an 87-year-old woman collided with a school bus at the intersection of First Street and Maplewood Avenue just after noon. A driver, a school staff member, and two children under the age of 4 were aboard. None were reported to have been injured. The driver, Bridget Howe, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Berkshire Medical Center’s Emergency Department. The roadway was blocked off for 30 minutes after the incident.
