F-35 opponents in Burlington are planning a march and rally Friday evening.
The Vermont National Guard is expecting the first F-35’s to arrive at its Burlington base sometime this month.
Opponents of the fighter jet are planning to march Friday evening in downtown Burlington. James Marc Leas says they want the F-35 basing canceled. “This was pressure from our senators and the mayor of Burlington and that’s why the march is going to go from Senator Sanders’ office to Leahy’s office and then to City Hall to protest in front of the mayor’s office.”
The rally begins at 5 p.m. Friday on Church Street.
