The police chief in Vermont's largest city is on family and medical leave.
The Burlington mayor's office announced Friday that Chief Brandon del Pozo was on a Family and Medical Leave of Absence with his return date to be determined.

During his absence Deputy Police Chief Jan Wright is serving as acting chief.

No reason was given for del Pozo's leave. He has been chief since 2015.
