Massachusetts Urges People To Prepare For Hurricane Season

Hurricane Irene Approaches the Outer Banks

  On the heels of Hurricane Barry making landfall in Louisiana, emergency officials in Massachusetts are urging people to take hurricane preparedness seriously.

Gov. Charlie Baker proclaimed July 14-20 as “Hurricane Preparedness Week” in the Commonwealth.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Chris Besse, the public information officer for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
