As Budget Season Begins, Springfield City Council Will Survey Public For Ideas

Elected officials in Springfield, Massachusetts have announced a plan to survey public opinion to help guide their policy decisions.

The initiative is called “Council Connections” It is being led by City Councilor Kateri Walsh. She worked with Western New England University to come up with survey questions to pose to city residents.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Walsh about the initiative.
