New City Council Committee To Focus On Environment

      For the first time in many years, the city council in Springfield, Massachusetts has voted to create a new permanent committee.

     The Committee on Sustainability and Environment is scheduled to hold its inaugural meeting Tuesday ( Jan. 29) night.   

        WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with the chairman of the new committee, City Councilor Jesse Lederman.
