The largest state fair in New England, the Big E, is underway in western Massachusetts.
The gates to the 175-acre fairgrounds in West Springfield opened to the public this morning at 8 a.m.
This year’s fair features new foods to sample, a mixture of entertainment, traditional exhibits, and agriculture displays.
Each New England state has its own building to showcase products and culture.
A new barn was built where local wines will be available.
