Burlington is making efforts to improve storm water infrastructure a priority following a number of sewage overflows into Lake Champlain.
The Burlington Board of Finance has approved a $30 million sustainable infrastructure plan that would replace aging infrastructure and would add new drainage on multiple streets.
The plan will need approval from both city councilors and voters.

Residents will need to contribute around $64 a year over the course of five years if the project is approved. City councilors will vote on the plan later this month.
