Castleton University officials say someone put up anti-Semitic flyers in the Vermont university's library.
University spokesman Jeff Weld says the flyers were similar to those found earlier this year at a Rutland library — both using Confederate iconography and anti-Semitic symbols. The Rutland Herald reports similar flyers were recently found in Saratoga, New York.

Weld says the flyers were found scattered around the library stacks Monday and quickly removed. Since the university is currently not in session officials don't believe a student was responsible.

University President Karen Scolforo issued a statement denouncing the flyers and says she reached out to a local civil rights group branch to work on "programing and opportunities to dialogue around issues such as these."
