Twenty-five people are facing state and federal drug charges and other offenses after a sweep that saw the drug suspects arrested across central Vermont.
The Vermont State Police said Friday the state drug task force worked with the Montpelier and Barre police departments and other agencies to conduct criminal investigations and make arrests over the last week in drug cases in the Washington County area.

The defendants range in age from 19 to 64.

Vermont United States Attorney Christina Nolan says the sweep will make a substantial impact in Washington County and go a long way towards promoting safety for law abiding citizens.
