Vermont Mayors Coalition

The Vermont Mayors Coalition has announced its state legislative session goals for 2018.
The group, representing the state’s eight mayors, outlined six priorities at the Statehouse in Montpelier on Wednesday.

The mayors are asking legislators to focus on six areas of particular concern to cities: efforts to address the opioid crisis; mental health reforms; clean water; the environment and energy; reforming the police training curriculum; and housing and downtown tax credits.

The Vermont Mayors Coalition was formed in 2013 to better collaborate and seek legislative action in Montpelier.
