Egremont, Massachusetts continues to have trouble filling the position of police chief.

Tyler Race stepped down as Egremont Police Chief last month after about a year.

Race replaced Brian Shaw, who retired in 2016. Shaw had replaced Reena Bucknell, who was suspended after a vote of no confidence by Egremont police officers. She was fired in 2013.

Lawmakers tell the Berkshire Eagle Shaw, a 33-year veteran on the force in Egremont and Stockbridge, will act as interim police chief for the next 5 months.
