Police in Adams, Massachusetts are asking town officials to impose an earlier curfew for bars.

Adams Police say creating a uniform closing time for all town bars could limit disruptive crowds.

They want a 1 a.m. last call, with closing time a half hour later.

Police say dispersing crowds in the early morning is time consuming and limits the number of officers available in case of an emergency – without tapping into overtime.
