The Burlington School Board has voted to impose terms and working conditions on teachers after officials in the Vermont city failed to reach an agreement with the teacher's union.
The board voted 9-1 Friday on the terms, making it the second consecutive year it has made the decision after stalled negotiations.

The Burlington Free Press reports Burlington Education Association President Frank Brock says working conditions at Burlington High School were a major factor that held up negotiations. He says the union opposes imposition, and teachers will consider taking action.

Brock says the union is planning to meet Sept. 7 to discuss their options.
