A street fair in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Saturday will highlight an ongoing state redevelopment project on Tyler Street.
The Pittsfield Better Block Day of Transformation starts at noon August 26th on Tyler Street.
The Pittsfield Better Block is a community development project to modernize and revitalize Tyler Street and the Morningside community.
The project is run by MassDevelopment and the Tyler Street Business Group. They want to revitalize the district and help stimulate the city’s economy. The Tyler Street Business Group says the overhaul will consider the area’s aging population along with transportation and land-use patterns.
Leaders plan to highlight what they believe should be done to make the area a commercial and residential hub.
