Veterans To March Across Massachusetts, Against Suicide

Starting in Hancock on Thursday, Massachusetts veterans will march across the state to bring awareness to suicide among vets. 

Vet Ruck New England is group of veterans who have been impacted by suicide.

Pittsfield’s Veterans’ Services Department says roughly 22 veterans commit suicide every day across the country.

They will march day and night 200 miles starting Thursday, carrying only ruck sacks.

The team of nine will start at Bates Memorial State Park in Hancock at noon, and are expected to finish at Plymouth Rock Sunday.
