The chair of Vermont’s Progressive Party is stepping down.
The Vermont Progressive Party announced that Emma Mulvaney-Stanak stepped down as state chair on Friday. She had served as chair of Vermont’s third major party for four years.
In a statement, Mulvaney-Stanak noted her decision to leave is due to growing responsibilities as a labor organizer.
State Senator Anthony Pollina will serve as interim chair until the party formally fills the position in September.
