The silos at the Hancock Shaker Village will be restored after a rough winter.

Hancock Shaker Village’s wooden silos, which you can see driving to or from Pittsfield on Route 20, were damaged by a winter storm. A large hole can be seen in one of the roofs.

The silos were built for storage in 1908. It will cost roughly $92,000 to fix the roofs.

An animal pen will also be renovated.

The historical village is an international tourist destination celebrating Shaker lifestyles and traditions.
