As Unemployment Rates Fall, Massachusetts May Face Spot Labor Shortages

      The still vibrant Massachusetts economy faces several uncertainties according to the latest edition of a quarterly journal. 

        MassBenchmarks recently estimated the state’s economy, as measured by gross domestic output, contracted slightly in the first quarter of this year. 

         WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Robert Nakosteen, executive editor of MassBenchmarks and an economics professor at the Isenberg School at UMass Amherst.
