A plumbing system problem closed Berkshire Community College early Wednesday.

School officials cancelled day classes due to a water supply problem disrupting the campus plumbing system – campus toilets couldn’t flush.

With the help of city water department employees, the problem was fixed just after 10 a.m.

Students were notified through the college's text and email alert system.

Classes were scheduled to begin again at 4 p.m.
