It was 14 years ago this week that the first prisoners arrived at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba detention camp. Seven years ago, President Barack Obama took office promising to close the prison that had opened under his predecessor, President George W. Bush.
Bruce Miller, a professor at the Western New England University School of Law is president of No More Guantanamos, a national public education and advocacy group. He spoke this week with WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill.
