After several tries, Brattleboro, Vermont, has a new town manager.
Peter Elwell spent his first day on the job Tuesday meeting staff and preparing for a Selectboard meeting that included discussions on the budget and other topics.
He tells the Brattleboro Reformer that in the coming days and weeks, he will help the staff and Selectboard prioritize the many issues facing the town.
Elwell was hired in October.
